When did you start building with K'NEX?
I was 4 when I started building K'NEX. I started with a small set my parents found at a garage sale. When I was 5, my parents got me the big ball factory. I needed their help the first couple of times I built it, but after that, I had it figured out.
What was your most challenging K'NEX creation?
Hyperspeed Roller Coaster I built for the contest was the toughest. I had to modify one of the cars so it would work with both a chain lift and a power launcher, and then I had to keep testing the different parts of the track until they all worked together. I took a long time, but I felt good once I got it done.
Do you have a favorite past K'NEXpert, if so who?
Paul from New York in 2003 who built that awesome bridge.
How many siblings do you have? What are their age(s) and gender?
I have two brothers. Seth is 5 and Joe is 3.
Do they build with K'NEX too? Do you build models together?
My brothers mostly build with Kid K'Nex. Although they sometimes build some crazy stuff with regular K'nex.
What are your favorite hobbies (besides building with K'NEX)?
I love to read, write my own stories, and play Roller Coaster Tycoon.
Do you participate in any extra-curricular activities such as sports teams, clubs, music groups, boy scouts?
I am a purple belt in Tae Kwon Do. I am also in the Royal Rangers.
What is your favorite subject in school?
I love science, especially when my mom does K'Nex science.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to design and build amusement parks.
Please tell us what has been the coolest part about being the 2007 K'NEXpert Grand Prize Winner!
Wow, there is so much!! It was great to win the savings bond, and I loooove to get the free K'NEX. Also, it has been fun talking to newspaper reporters and other kids about K'NEX. I am also looking forward to touring the K'NEX factory.
